ENTREPRENEUR, BLOCKCHAIN SPEAKER, REALTOR, FUN GUY.

We are at an extraordinary crossroad in time. Arguably, one that will be much larger than the disruptive change that we realized with the Internet. This coming change will shuffle governments and redistribute power and wealth while providing transparency, immutability, and accountability from the businesses we choose to do business with – all the while keeping our personal information private.

Currencies are being devalued all over the word, low interest rates prevail, a trade war between the US and China ensues, Brexit… the list goes on. People are slowly waking up to the idea that bitcoin may in fact be an asset class worth investing in. And the other blockchain technologies? … well, they may serve a purpose too!

Whether it be investing in blockchain technologies or investing in real estate, I have a passion for helping people make smart decisions with their money. Throughout time, fortunes have been made by investing in disruptive businesses and today is no different. Companies that embrace blockchain technology and understand the freedom and power that it can bring will become the dominant businesses of tomorrow. With extensive research and understanding how consumers will be transacting in a decentralized world we can ride on the shoulders of these unicorns and be a part of something incredible.

RESEARCH AND EXECUTION.

01. ALL THINGS BLOCKCHAIN.

I wish I could say I got into Bitcoin before 2014, or even 2016 for that matter. I remember hearing about a recent price surge to $500 so I vowed to look into it further. At the time I found it was too cumbersome, as the onramps from fiat were practically non-existent and I wasn’t prepared to wire money to an unknown person based on a promise of getting BTC in return. Then the infamous Mt.Gox and Silk Road happened which reinforced my decision to stay away. It wasn’t until early 2017 that I went ALL IN. #hindsight

Since early 2017 my involvement in the crypto space has been:

One of 12 in a informal research group who evaluated ICOs for personal investment opportunities.
Gave presentations to small groups about the future impact of blockchain technology and crypto currencies.
Gave tutorials to small groups to assist in purchasing their first crypto currency and explaining methods of safe storage.
Currently writing an ebook on blockchain technology and crypto currencies.
Attended Blockchain Impact Investment Summit 2018 (Vancouver) Futurist Conference 2018 and 2019 (Toronto)

03. BRANDING. TREND SPOTTING. MARKETING.

I have amassed over 600 domain names in various niches and have employed various monetizing techniques over the years to maximize their earning potential. Today, I receive between 3-5 sales inquiries each week and continue to educate end users about the value of a good domain name. I have sold domain names from as low as $500 and high as six figures – enough to make the Top 100 list from recognized domain sales gathered by DNJ. (opens new window)

In addition to buying, selling, and developing I have also consulted on domain valuations for companies that have acquired domain names via mergers and acquisitions.

WORK SMART. PLAY HARD. AND ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET.

Work life balance they say. Then I guess I need to share with you some things that I find fun…like the Trans Alps – a 7 day stage race across some unforgivingly steep cols and crazy descents in Europe, kiteboarding in Spain, cyclo-cross races, traveling, and of course just hanging with the family and watching my two sons tackle new challenges.
