ENTREPRENEUR, BLOCKCHAIN EDUCATOR, DIGITAL MARKETER, RECOVERING REALTOR, AND ALL AROUND OK GUY. 😉

We are at an extraordinary crossroad in time.  One that will arguably be much larger than the disruptive change that we realized with WWW. This coming change will shuffle governments and redistribute power and wealth while providing transparency, immutability, and accountability from the businesses we choose to do business with – all the while keeping our personal information private. Web 3.0 is coming.

Currencies are being devalued all over the word and the mighty US dollar is being challenged like never before. Low and negative interest rates prevailed for a decade and now we are facing run away inflation due to governments printing money out of thin air. We are paying the price of poor COVID economic policies. Russia vs the West and China vs. Taiwan/USA…the world has changed. What are the safe assets?  People are slowly waking up to the idea that Bitcoin just may in fact be an asset class worth investing in. And the other cryptocurrencies? Well, some of them will serve specific purposes too, but let’s face it most are junk.

Fiat currencies are slowly dying and blockchain technology is democratizing the worlds financial systems. With 1/3 of the worlds adult population not having access to banking services, financial inclusion has never been more important.

2023 – will we finally get clear government regulations that will enable cryptocurrencies to flourish? Or will governments dig their heels in and protect their economic hegemony for another year? There is definitely headwind and obstacles but one thing is for sure, Bitcoin can no longer be ignored. The future is clear – it’s just a matter of when and at what stage you decide to enter the largest growth cycle in a generation.

Whether it be investing in blockchain technologies or investing in real estate, I have a passion for helping people make smart decisions with their money and enjoy explaining the intricacies of technology and formatting it into real world relatable concepts that the average person can understand and take actionable steps on.

Throughout time, fortunes have been made by investing in disruptive technology and businesses and today is no different (but perhaps more important than ever). Companies that embrace transparency, user privacy and that are moving toward a decentralized business model using blockchain technology will flourish. These are the companies that will become the dominant businesses of tomorrow. With extensive research and understanding how consumers will be transacting in a decentralized world we can ride on the shoulders of these unicorns and be a part of something incredible.

RESEARCH AND EXECUTION.

01. ALL THINGS BLOCKCHAIN.

I wish I could say I got into bitcoin before 2014, or even 2016 for that matter. I remember hearing about a recent price surge to $500 so I vowed to look into it further. At the time I found it was too cumbersome as the onramps for fiat were practically non-existent and I wasn’t prepared to wire money to an unknown person based on a promise of getting BTC in return. Then the infamous Mt.Gox and Silk Road happened which reinforced my decision to stay away. It wasn’t until early 2017 that I went ALL IN. #hindsight20/20

Since early 2017 my involvement in the crypto space has been:

  • One of 12 in a informal research group who evaluated ICOs for personal investment opportunities.
to say that we came out relatively unscathed and had picked a few winners with zero rug pulls I am going to put this in the win column.
  • Gave presentations to small groups about the future impact of blockchain technology and crypto currencies.
  • Gave tutorials to small groups to assist in purchasing their first crypto currency and explaining methods of safe storage.
  • Currently writing an ebook on blockchain technology and crypto currencies.
  • Attended Blockchain Impact Investment Summit 2018 (Vancouver) Futurist Conference 2018 and 2019 (Toronto)

03. BRANDING. TREND SPOTTING. MARKETING.

I have amassed over 600 domain names in various niches and have employed various monetizing techniques over the years to maximize their earning potential. Today, I receive between 3-5 sales inquiries each week and continue to educate end users about the value of a good domain name. I have sold domain names from as low as $500 and high as six figures – enough to make the Top 100 list from recognized domain sales gathered by DNJ. (opens new window)

In addition to buying, selling, and developing I have also consulted on domain valuations for companies that have acquired domain names via mergers and acquisitions.

WORK SMART. PLAY LOTS. AND ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET.

Work life balance they say. Then I guess I need to share with you some things that I find fun…like the Trans Alps – a 7 day stage race across some unforgivingly steep cols and crazy descents in Europe, kiteboarding in Spain, cyclo-cross races, traveling, and of course just hanging with the family and watching my two sons tackle new challenges.
